The movie centers on an army enlistee named John Tyree. While on leave, John meets Savannah, a college going girl. Initial friendship turns in love soon. Is it possible for an army man to fall in love etc and if so, then how would he make choices between his love and another love i.e. country? Dear John has an interesting plotline and entertaining characters. The movie is supposed to be a great hit on the American cinemas.
