The central characters of the movie are Katie and Micah, a loving couple enjoying their contented and cheery relationship. When both of them were sure about the promising future, some bizarre events start to happen at night and threaten their smoothly going lives. Katie is of belief that ever since her childhood, she has been followed by a nasty entity. And, the same has followed her to their new house. With plans to capture the activities of the spirit, they purchase a video camera. Dr. Fredrichs and Dr. Abrams are among other important characters of the movie.
